For those who attended the 2010 Spring Conference's 10 Minute Play Showcase, we just had to share the following news from Kayt Peck of the Nat Gold Players (Las Vegas): My 10 minute play "Give-a-Shit Repair Shop" was a winner in the 2010 Rocky Mountain Voices competition, and it will be performed in Westcliffe , Colorado September 3 and 4. Maggie and I are going to watch.
TNM members were honored to see Kayt's play performed by the Nat Gold Players in March at the Ocotillo Performing Arts Center in Artesia
.
As many of you are aware the building that stored everything that belonged to
"Musical Theatre Southwest" in Albuquerque, NM, had a devastating fire in June. Everything has been lost from costumes to years of records and history. I think we can all relate to what a tragedy like this could mean to any of us. On behalf of
Theatre New Mexico
I am asking for your support of one of our own.
Naturally monetary donations are badly needed but office supplies, props, costumes (they are doing "Thoroughly Modern Millie" in August) and anything connected to a production company would be welcomed including sewing machines
To find out their needs please contact:
Robb Sisneros at 1.505.265.9119
or Richard Huff at 1.505.265.1582
Please identify all donations as coming from a TNM or AACT member.
Please watch for fundraising events with involvement by Neil Patrick Harris (a former actor at MTS).
When something is known we will post it on the TNM website:
Theatre NM ( http://www.theatrenm.org )
Thank you for your support.
